Isabel Wynne

Isabel Wynne, 88, of 1515 Grand Ave., Galesburg, died at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday January 2, 2007 at home.   Isabel was born on January 22, 1918 in Alexis, Illinois, the daughter of Richard J. and Mary R. Lee Flaherty.  She married Stanley Wynne on February 24, 1941 in Davenport, Iowa.  He died on July 18, 1998.  Surviving Isabel are 2 sons:  Dan (Julie) Wynne and Joe Wynne both of Galesburg; 5 daughters:  Ellen (Hans) Sunken of Aledo, Jane Wynne, and Marti (Lou) Maciel both of Galesburg, Kathy (Tom) Schwab of Rochester, MN, and Cindy (Ben) Perkins of Knoxville.  Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 3 brothers.   Isabel was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday January 6, 2007 at Corpus Christi Church, with the Reverend William Miller, officiating.  Visitation will be from 5 – 7:30 p.m. on Friday January 5, 2007 at Watson Funeral Home, with the rosary being prayed at 7:30 p.m.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Memorials may be made for the care of her special son Joe Wynne.
