Jaime F. Alvarez

Jaime F. Alvarez, 57, of Galesburg, Illinois, died September 1, 2024 at home.

Jaime was born June 15, 1967 in Jalisco, Mexico, the son of Maria (Del Rosario) and Juan Alvarez Lara. He emigrated to the United States as a young adult eventually settling in Galesburg. Jaime worked for many years as a handy man. He is survived locally by one brother, Quirino Alvarez of Galesburg; and one sister, Celia Lozano in Galesburg. His remaining four brothers and five sisters still reside in Mexico. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jaime will be remembered for his strong work ethic and as a man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Cremation has been accorded. His cremated remains will be interred in Mexico. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
