James A. Taylor

James Allen Taylor, 65, of Oquawka, formerly of Galesburg, died Tuesday June 16, 2020 at home. Jim was born December 28, 1954 in Mitchell, IN, the son of Robert Glen and H. Louise (Bowser) Taylor.  He married Pamela Holman.  They later divorced.  He is survived by two daughters, Rachele Teague of Rock Island and Kelley Bryant of Galva; nine grandchildren, Madeline, Mercedes, Max, Travon, James, Dieonika, Kenyhon, Johnnie, and Nassir; and six great grandchildren.  He is also survived by one brother, Brian Taylor of Oquawka; and two sisters, Glenda Kuelper of Elizabethton, KY and Pandora Wood of Galesburg.  He was preceded in death by his father in 1997, his mother and brother, Bobby in 2007. Jim worked for many years at Maytag as a crane operator, retiring in 2003. Cremation rites will be accorded.  No services are planned.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
