James Lewis Gallagher

James Lewis Gallagher, 70, of Galesburg, died at 12:22 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2018 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. Jim was born January 13, 1948 in Galesburg, the son of Edward A. and Lydia M. (Anderson) Gallagher. Jim is survived by three sons, Jesse and Jeremy of Monmouth and Joe of Macomb; three daughters, Jeannie of New York, Michelle Cook of Galesburg, and Jennifer (Ryan) Koralik of Elk Grove Village; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and two on the way. He is also survived by three brothers, Steve of Kewanee, Robert and Dan both of Galesburg; and two sisters, Pam Nameniuk of Puyallup, WA and Patty of Kewanee. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jimmy; two brothers, Mike and Dennis; and one sister, Sharon. Jim was a welder for many years prior to his retirement in 1996. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Cremation rites will be accorded following visitation. No funeral service is planned. Memorials may be made to OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
