Jane Marie Moore, 60, of Galesburg, died at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in her daughter’s home in Knoxville. Jane was born April 9, 1958 the daughter of Albert E. and Marilee P. (Hornbaker) Moore. Jane is survived by her mother, Marilee Moore of Galesburg; one daughter, Tanya (Aaron) Skinner of Knoxville; one brother, Jay Moore of Galesburg; and two sisters, Beverly (Dave) Coulter of Lynn Center and Sue Moore of Moline. Jane is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Christian Skinner, Samuel Skinner, Layla Skinner, Matthew (Alexandra) Skinner, Morgan Skinner, Grace Skinner, and Elsie Mae Skinner who is due in March; and one great grandson, Julian Harris. Along with her father, Jane was preceded in death by one brother, Bert Moore; and one sister, Karen Moore. Jane worked for ILPEA Industries in Galesburg for many years. Jane was a creative and handy person and enjoyed tending to her flower garden. She was also a great planner and organizer. Jane spent many years volunteering for different causes, most recently Special Olympics. Jane was very proud of her grandchildren and loved watching them grow. She also truly enjoyed spending time with her friends and traveling. Jane leaves behind her trusted companion, her bird, Skype. Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Thomas Legacy Center at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to the Western Illinois Special Olympics.
