Jarrod L. Pierce

Jarrod Lawrence Pierce, 44, of Galesburg, died at 8:54 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.

He was born May 11, 1980, in Galesburg, the son of Cheryl L. Starnes and Michael J. Nache. Jarrod loved his job as a delivery driver for Spee-dee Delivery. He was very dedicated and hard working.

Left to cherish his memory are three sons: Gage Pierce of Monmouth, Illinois, A.J. Gilmore, and Declan Pierce of London Mills, Illinois; his parents, Michael and Cheryl Nache of Galesburg; his significant other of twenty years, Juanita Martinez of Galesburg; two stepsons, Joshua and Austin Sundberg; and one stepdaughter, Heaven Sundberg, all of Galesburg. Also surviving are five brothers: Joshua (Sarahi) Pierce of Monmouth, Michael Nache, Jr. of Galesburg, James (Bernice) Nache of Monmouth, Hampton (Jessica) Nache of Des Moines, Iowa, and Nash Nache of Galesburg; four sisters: Jade (Ben) Otten, Lakee Nache, and McCall (John) Perry, all three of Galesburg, and Blas Nache (Dylan Tschetter) of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois; two uncles: Donny Lobb of Springfield, Illinois, and Kevin Starnes of Galesburg; three aunts, Rosemary (Larry) Gutierrez of Galesburg, Kendall Bracket of Quincy, Illinois, and Sheila Johnston of Colorado; his best friend, George Kilburn of Abingdon, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by Lakee’s fiancé, Angelo Mangieri; maternal grandparents, Lake and Pearl Starnes; paternal grandparents, Jess (Lucy) Nache; and one uncle, James Starnes.

Jarrod enjoyed watching football. He was a loving and devoted son, boyfriend, father, stepfather, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend and will be deeply missed.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
