Jasper Michael Newland

Jasper Michael Newland, infant son of Caleb Newland and Hanna Wall, died unexpectedly on Thursday, November 16, 2017 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Jasper was born September 19, 2017 in Galesburg, the son of Caleb Michael Newland and Hanna Nicole Wall. Those left to cherish Jasper are his mother and father, Hanna Wall and Caleb Newland, both of Galesburg; maternal grandparents, Greg and Christy Wall of Galesburg; paternal grandparents, Matthew Newland of Moline and Brandi Moran of Galesburg; five uncles, Matthew Newland, Jr., Brandon Wall, Tristan Newland, Joey Newland, and Robert Moran all of Galesburg. Jasper loved to watch the colors on T.V. and loved to listen to music and responded the most when listening to country music, especially the Dixie Chicks. He was always a happy baby and loved to observe those around him. Jasper loved to cuddle and listen to people’s heartbeats. He was just beginning to mimic other’s actions and loved to coo. Although Jasper was only here for two short months, he will live on as he has given the gift of life to others in need as an organ donor. Jasper truly gave the gift of life. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be sent to the family.
