Jean Bonesteel Redington, 79, of Galesburg, died at 10:20 p.m., December 05,2009 at Seminary Manor. She was born May 17,1930 in Galesburg the daughter of Forrest and Dorothy Smith Bonesteel. She married Philip Redington on July 28, 1951 at St.Patrick's Catholic Church in Galesburg. He survives. Also surviving are three sons, Tom(and Marty) of Hannibal, Mo., Tim(and Dori), and Todd(and Kory) all of Galesburg, a sister, Betty (and Ned) Flescher of Galesburg, a brother, Dean (and Mary) Bonesteel of Hayden Lake, ID, thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. She was a 1948 graduate of Galesburg High School and was secretary/treasurer for the class for over 35 years. She retired from C.U.D. 205 after 15 years and then as a volunteer, taught sign language at Costa Catholic Academy for 12 years. She was a charter member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated at her church on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Galesburg, Il. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary or Costa Catholic Academy.
