Jeffery E. Ring

Jeffery Earl Ring, 63, of rural Victoria, died November 18, 2018 at home. Jeff was born June 30, 1955 in Galesburg. The son of Grandill J. Ring and Norma H. Johnson. Jeff is survived by his mother Norma Marsh Thompson of Rio; one brother, Wil Marsh of Rio; two sisters, April Watson of Geneseo and Lory Olinger of Washington; and one aunt, Linda Landon. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Joshua Marsh, Helena Olinger, Ashley Greer, Wade Watson, and Dakota Watson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents whom raised him, Earl “Pete” G. and Marjorie H. (McNaught) Johnson; his father, Grandill J. Ring; one brother, Earl Marsh; and one aunt, Carol Deffenbaugh. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman. He loved working outside on the family farm and raising cattle. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. Jeff attended Oaks Community Church in Dahinda. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Oaks Community Church, Dahinda. Pastor Marty Briney will officiate. Burial will be in Williamsfield Cemetery, Williamsfield, IL. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oaks Community Church, 1868 Congregation Road, Dahinda, IL 61485.
