Jeffrey E. Parrigin, 58, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 2:24 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.
Jeff was born November 30, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Norman Eric and Jeanetta Dimple (Murray) Parrigin. Jeff is survived by his mother, Jeanetta Parrigin of Galesburg, Illinois; one daughter, Erica (and Wade Green) Parrigin of Moline, Illinois; and two brothers, Ricky Parrigin of Galesburg, Illinois and Jimmy Hamlin, Jr. of Monmouth, Illinois. Jeff was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Tony Parrigan.
Jeff enjoyed working with his hands, including repairing watches and clocks, and truly had a talent for working with leather. He was extremely meticulous and loved music, especially rock-n-roll. Jeff had a love for animals. He enjoyed rescuing pets from poor conditions and raising them as his own - reptiles, snakes, birds, frogs, cats, fish, etc.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. No services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
