Jeffrey Stewart Hinrichs

Jeffrey Stewart Hinrichs, 68, of Galesburg, died on August 19, 2016 at his home in Galesburg. Stewart was born on May 7, 1948 in Galesburg, the son of George and Geraldine Stewart Hinrichs. He is survived by his two brothers, George W. “Hap” and Bradley G. Hinrichs both of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked several jobs in the Sterling Rock Falls area; and also worked for the Galesburg Hy-Vee and Happy Joes. He was a member of the Elks Club, Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285 and enjoyed golfing at Soangetaha Country Club. Cremation rites will be accorded. Private interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg is in charge of arrangements.
