Jeffrey Wayne Jehling

Jeffrey Wayne Jehling, 50, of Galesburg, died at 9:28 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg. Jeff was born June 23, 1967 in Galesburg, the son of Paul R. and Karen J. (Smith) Jehling.  He married Elaine Marie Milton on June 29, 2002 in Galesburg.  Jeff is survived by his wife, Elaine of Galesburg; his mother, Karen of Galesburg; and one brother, Bryan (Amy) Jehling of Tempe, AZ.  Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Paul R. Jehling on September 22, 2015.  Jeff was an active member of the First Christian Church where he had served as a deacon.  Jeff attended Western Illinois University and graduated from Carl Sandburg College.  He worked as the property manager at Parkway Estates and as a custodian at First Christian Church. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at First Christian Church, with a memorial service following at 11 a.m.  Burial of cremated remains will follow services at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made in Jeff’s memory to the First Christian Church, Galesburg.
