John H. Weber, 89, of Wataga, died at 9:10 p.m. on Monday, August 7, 2006 at Kewanee Hospital.   Mr. Weber was born on September 1, 1916 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Leonard and Sophia Anderson Weber.  He married M. Eileen Strickland on February 19, 1936 in Galesburg; she died on October 17, 1991.   He is survived by two sons:  J. Barry (Bridget) of Wataga and M. Peter (Claudia) of Nashville, TN.  He is also survived by three grandchildren and one great grandson.  Mr. Weber was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and one granddaughter, in June, 1977.   Mr. Weber graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1934 and from The University of Notre Dame School of Engineering in 1939.  He served in the Army during WWII.  A registered architect and engineer, Mr. Weber was the founding partner of Weber, Griffith & Mellican, Inc., and Weber, Hillemeyer & Fischer, Inc..     Mr. Weber was a member and chairman of The University of Notre Dame’s School of Engineering Advisory Council.  He also served on the Knox County Board and District #205’s Board of Education.  Mr. Weber’s Funeral Mass was celebrated with immediate family members by Reverend Deus-Dedit Byabato on Wednesday, August 9, 2006.  Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Galesburg.   Memorials may be made to the Costa Catholic School Foundation.
