John M. Clegg

John Michael Clegg, 61, of Galesburg, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in Galesburg. John was born December 7, 1957 in Delong, the son of Ernest and Alice Ruth (Cross) Clegg. John is survived by his mother, Alice Morris of Galesburg; and one son, John Henry Clegg of Galesburg. He was preceded in death by his father one brother, Donald Clegg. Growing up in rural Delong, John worked many years on the family farm. He then worked at Gates Rubber CO. in Galesburg for several years. He last worked as a self employed handy man. John was a member of Colonial Baptist Church in Galesburg. Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Colonial Baptist Church, Galesburg. Pastor Darrell Grimm will officiate. Burial of cremated remains will be in the spring at Prairie City Cemetery, Prairie City, IL. Memorials may be made to the family in c/o of Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory.
