Jonathan R. Buchan

Jonathan Richard Buchan, 59, of Galesburg, formerly of Stronghurst, died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Marigold Health Care and Rehab, Galesburg. He was born March 26, 1961 in Ft. Dodge, IA, the son of Joseph and Sally (Warnke) Potter.  Jonathan is survived by his mother, Sally (Larry) Buchan of Custer, SD; one daughter, Cheyanne Buchan of Stronghurst; one son, Christopher Buchan of Burlington, IA; and two grandchildren, Oakley Taylor and Elizabeth Buchan.  He is also survived by one brother, Wade Buchan of Wyoming; and three sisters, Lori Pond of Custer, SD, Dawn Potter of Ankeny, IA, and Stephanie Pfister of Sioux City, SD. Jonathan had recently been working for P.T.I. as a railroad crew transporter.  He enjoyed music and driving, as well as bowling and spending time with his family.Cremation rites were accorded.  No services are planned.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
