Joseph F. Kucera, Jr., 80, of 698 N. West St. Galesburg, died at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday November 26, 2006 at home.  Joseph was born on October 1, 1926 in Moline, Illinois the son of Joseph K. and Amelia Parsons Kucera.  He married Darlene Stewart on December 30, 1964 in Pontiac, Illinois.  She died on January 16, 2006.  He is survived by one brother Thomas Kucera of Rock Island, several special friends including Carol Hilton, Cathy White, Jodie Huston and Bob King all of Galesburg,  Robert Cristner of Boone, IA, Mason Simpson and Mike Wiskerchen both of Milwaukee, WI.  Also surviving are 2 nephews Robert Kucera, Jr of Ottawa, Daniel Kucera of Sacramento, CA, and numerous cousins.  He was preceded in death by one brother Robert.   Joseph served in the Army Air Corp during WWII.  He was a district manager for Chicago Motor Club for 21 years. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285, 4th degree member of Father J.O. Hunt Knights of Columbus Council 556, Past Exalted of Elks Lodge BPOE #894, and the Disabled Veterans Association.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday November 30, 2006 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, with the Reverend Ernest Pizzamiglio, officiating.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday November 29 at Watson Funeral Home, with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.  Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois.  Military rites will be conducted by Moline American Legion.  Memorials may be made to the National MS Society, the Guardian Angels, or Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
