Judith A. Mcgaan

Judith Ann McGaan, 85, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at home, Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 8:14 a.m.

Judy was born September 13, 1939 in Galesburg, the daughter of Russell LeRoy and Adah Isabel (Simpson) Selman. Judy worked as a bookkeeper at Gateway Co-Op Galva for 31 years, retiring in 2003.

Judy is survived by three daughters, Christina “Tina” Reed of Galesburg, Kim Stewart of Holdrege, Nebraska, and Trudy (Bill) Lockery of Galesburg; one brother, Harold (Janet) Selman of Knoxville, Illinois; one sister, Susan (Marvin) Klusman of Galesburg; thirteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Judy was preceded in death by two daughters, Cindy Naslund and Jamie Larkins; one brother, John Selman; and one sister, Helen Morgan.

She attended Faith United Methodist Church in Galesburg, was a former member of the Red Hat Society, and had served as the treasurer for the Village of Altona. In her free time, Judy enjoyed reading a good book.

Cremation will be accorded. No services are planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
