Judith Arlene O’Connor, 79, of Galesburg, died peacefully Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg. Judy was born July 17, 1941 in Chillicothe, IL, the daughter of Ora Franklin and Pearl Evangeline (Branburg) Harlin. Judy married Daniel Paul Nolan on February 13, 1964. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2007. She later married Frederick Martin O’Connor on November 16, 2011. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2013. Judy is survived by two sons, Daniel (Laura) Nolan of Kewanee and Stephen (Sonrisa) Nolan of Altona; six grandchildren, Sierra Nolan, Sydney Nolan, Kelsi (Andrew Welgat) Nolan, Bryce Nolan, Aidan Nolan, and Zaria Nolan; and one great granddaughter, Brinleigh Nolan. Along with her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry; one sister, Janice; and one grandson, Taylor. Judy was an active member of St. Aloysius. Judy was a member and volunteer with many different organizations including, Community Treasures. She was a member of DAR and served as its chaplain. Judy was also an active member of Illinois Home extension, Tuscarora Ladies Group; and longtime member of the Illinois and Knox County Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs on television as well as a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Wataga. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to St. Aloysius Catholic Church, American Cancer Society, or American Diabetes Association.
