Judith L. Donaldson

Judith Lynn Donaldson, 72, of Galesburg, Illinois, died peacefully at home, Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Judy was born August 2, 1952 in Galesburg, the daughter of William R. and Mildred I. (Kemmer) Horaney. Judy graduated from Galesburg High School in 1970. She worked for many years at Puritan-Churchill in Galesburg until their closure. At that time, Judy went to work for Knox College as a purchasing agent. She remained there until her retirement.

Judy married Michael G. Donaldson on August 18, 1973 in Knoxville, Illinois. Mike survives of Galesburg, as do her two sons, Keith (Vicki) Legge of Galesburg and Ryan Donaldson of Davenport, Iowa. Judy is also survived by her beloved four grandchildren, Drake Legge and Kelsi Legge, Sydney (Jack) Lanciloti, and Alexa Donaldson; her two great grandchildren, Sophie and Cooper; and her two brothers, David Horaney and William R. Horaney, Jr. both of Galesburg. Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

Judy enjoyed golfing but most of all, she loved being with her family and friends and cooking for them all.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Thomas Legacy Center at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
