Justin R. Cook

Justin R. Cook, 24, of 849 Hawkinson St., Galesburg, passed away at 6:55 a.m. on Wednesday August 1, 2007 at home. Justin was born on September 3, 1982 in Aurora, Illinois the son of Randall Cook and Terri Schultz. He married Elizabeth Andrea Newland on September 23, 2006 at Walnut Grove Farm in Knoxville, Illinois. Surviving Justin are his wife Beth of Galesburg; his father Randall Cook of Warrenville and his mother Terri (William) Penn of Monmouth; 3 sons: Brendan (11), Andre (10), and Justin, Jr (3) all at home; 1 daughter Lareesa (5) at home; 1 brother Garren of Galesburg; his grandmother Ruby Bickell of Monmouth; 3 nieces: Paige, Haley, and Jayden; 4 nephews: Sean, Jacob, Ben, and Cody. Also surviving are a step sister Renee and a step brother Ryan. Justin was preceded in death by one brother Kevin. Justin was a loving and devoted husband and father, who worked tirelessly to support his family. He was an installer for Chezum’s seamless gutters, and also worked as a mechanic and was a carpenter. He was and avid Bears fan. Justin attended Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be at 5 p.m. on Monday August 6, 2007 at Bethel Baptist Church, with Pastor Lee Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. on Monday at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service. Memorials may be made to the family. Friends and family are invited to attend a meal and fellowship at the church following the service.
