Karen A. Delbridge

Karen A. Delbridge, 62, of Galesburg, died at 11:28 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 in the emergency room at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Karen was born September 21, 1954 in Kewanee, the daughter of Clifton A. and Mildred L. Nelson Daum. She is survived by two sons, Donald A. (Wakeisha Young) Delbridge, II of Peoria and Dominich Delbridge of Hohenwald, TN; one daughter, Kasity A. (Will) Yanez of Wyoming; and twelve grandchildren. She is also survived by her fiancé, Robert Reed of Galesburg; one brother, Bill Daum of Virginia; and one sister, Nancy (Jesse) Luna of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ronnie Daum. While living in Virginia, Karen worked as a secretary for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and enjoyed making crafts. Karen loved holidays, especially Christmas. Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned. Her cremated remains will be placed in a mausoleum in Virginia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choosing.
