Kathy Jones

Kathy Lynn Jones, 54, of Galesburg, died at 3:35 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 at home. Kathy was born June 22, 1959 in Galesburg, the daughter of Harry and Ella Jane (St. Clair) Mears.  Kathy is survived by two daughters, Alisha and Melissa both of Johnsonville, TN; two brothers, Darrell (Linda) Mears of Macomb and Robert (Billie Jo) Mears of Fort Madison, IA; one sister, Sylvia (Roger Thomas) Kidd of East Galesburg and one granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Kathy had worked for the past 17 years at Dick Blick in the call center.  She loved her cats and enjoyed playing games and watching movies. Visitation will be from 5-6:30 p.m. Monday at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home, with a memorial service to follow at 6:30 p.m.  Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society.
