Kimberly Kinkaid

Kim Kinkaid, 43, of Galesburg, passed away at 9 a.m. Sunday, September 23, 2012 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.   She was born on October 1, 1968 in Galesburg to parents Layne and Pamela Allen Laswell. She married Chuck Kinkaid on September 4, 1993 in Galesburg. He survives. Kim is survived by her son, Braden Layne Kinkaid; her stepdaughter, Brittany Jean Kinkaid; her step-sisters, Dawn (Barry) Watkins of Knoxville, Robin Barnes of Galesburg, and Mary (John) Thole of North Liberty, IA; her step-brother James Woollums, who is currently serving in the U.S. Navy; her father and step-mother, Layne and Barb Laswell; her brother-in-law, Michael Kinkaid of Monmouth; and her mother-in-law Marilyn Johnson. She was preceded in death by her her mother and a sister Michelle Louise Keime. Kim worked as a loving homemaker, and will be remembered as a lover of dogs, especially her dog Buddy. Cremation rites have been accorded, and arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the VFW, 830 N. G St., in Monmouth.   A light lunch will be served. A memorial will be designated at a later time.   All friends and family are invited.
