Leeann Taylor, 56, of Abingdon, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2015 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Galesburg surrounded by her loving family. Leeann was born on August 7, 1958 in Little Rock, Arkansas the daughter of Donald and Margaret Ann (Wilson) Turley. She was raised and educated in the Monmouth area, graduating from Warren High School in 1976. Leeann is survived by her sons Brandon Scott of Abingdon, and Corey Goodwin of Tennessee; a daughter, Mandy Goodwin of Galesburg; brother, Dan (Merci) Turley of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters, Joyce (Jeff) Wise of Davenport , Iowa, Deb (James) Ott of Rochester, Minnesota; close friend and “unbiological sister” Marcia Jenkins of Galesburg; and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents. Leeann worked as a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn Express and Ramada Inn in Galesburg. She loved to crochet, play card and board games, complete puzzle books and jigsaw puzzles. She was an avid Elvis and Charlie Daniels fan and loved her two Chihuahuas Rosie and Cletus. Per Leeann’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home.
