LeRoy Howard Foster, 93, of Galesburg, died at 7 a.m. Monday, March 01, 2010 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. LeRoy was born on September 16, 1916 in Macomb, the son of Charles N. and Abby Bell Foster.  He married Margaret Legg.  He later married Helen Snyder on July 3, 1971. Surviving LeRoy is his wife of 38 years, Helen of Galesburg; a son, Ronald L. Foster of Galesburg; a daughter, Judith S. Becraft of Washington; and a sister, Grace Helen Leighty of Wichita, KS.  Also surviving LeRoy is 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. LeRoy served in the National Guard and was stationed at Camp Ellis.  LeRoy worked at International Harvester, retiring after 35 years.  He and his wife owned a cleaning service in Russellville, AR.  He cleaned the Russellville Christian Center.  LeRoy also worked at Price Choppers grocery store in Russellville, AR.  LeRoy last worked as a bartender at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Galesburg, working until October 2007. LeRoy was a member of UAW retirees association and the Moose Lodge.  He was also a member of the Open Bible Church in Galesburg, and the Russellville Christian Church in Russellville, AR.  He enjoyed playing cards, and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.  He enjoyed hunting for many years. Funeral services for LeRoy will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 at Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg, with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.  Private burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria.  Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
