Lisa V. Knipe

Lisa V. Knipe, 54, of Oquawka, died at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Monmouth. Lisa was born September 30, 1963 in Galesburg, the daughter of Francis and Verneal (Walker) Singleton.   She married Melvin Knipe on February 14, 1998 in Oquawka, IL. He survives of Oquawka. Lisa is also survived by her mother, Verneal Singleton of Galesburg; one son, Matthew Knipe of Wataga; four daughters, Samantha (John) Kappleman of Pleasantville, IA, Tiffany (Mason) Solestrl of Pella, IA, Rebecca Frymire of Des Moines, IA, and Katie Knipe of Princeton, IL; and three grandchildren. Lisa was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Chris Singleton.Lisa was a homemaker and was active in her church, House of Prayer in Oquawka. She loved to sing. Visitation will be 1 to 2p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Cremation rites will be accorded following visitation. No funeral services are planned. Memorials may be made in Lisa’s memory to her church, House of Prayer, 111 S. 6th St., Oquawka, IL 61469.
