Lois M. Cooley

Lois M. Cooley, 69, of 523 N. Joy St., Oneida, died at 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday August 1, 2007 at home. Lois was born on May 20, 1938 in Galesburg, the daughter of Virgil and Josie Hovell McGraw. She married J.D. Cooley. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1991. Surviving Lois are 2 daughters: Lori (Marcus) Byrd of Altona and Lisa (Mike) Byrd of Galva; 1 step son John (Tina); 2 step daughters: Patty and Cindy; 2 sisters: Alice (Harold) Mathews of California and Carol (Jim) Drury of Idaho. Also surviving Lois are her two grandson Ian and Jimmy Byrd. Lois was preceded in death by a brother Robert and a step son Jay. Lois worked at the Research Hospital and Zeller’s in Peoria until her retirement. She was a member of the Open Bible Church in Galesburg. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday August 4, 2007 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg, with Bud Webber officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday August 3 at Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to her church.
