Louis N Rodich

Louis N. Rodich, 85, of the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, Illinois formerly of Galesburg, died April 9, 2009 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. Louis was born on April 18, 1923 in Galesburg the son of Nick L and Pauline T. Palich Rodich. Surviving Louis are his brothers Frank, Anthony, and Michael all of Galesburg; his sisters, Ruby (Bud) Pittman of Jefferson, IA and Anastacia Rodich Riesebieter of Galesburg; 2 nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.   Louis graduated from Corpus Christi High School. He worked room service and was a banquet waiter for over 50 years working at hotels including; Hunting Hotel in Pasadena CA, Sherman House in Chicago, IL, and Sheriton and Olympic Hotels in Seattle WA. He was in the Coast Guard from 1942-1945. Louis was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Galesburg.   Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Galesburg. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church or to the Guardian Angels Humane Society. Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg is in charge of arrangements.
