Lucille Cornelia (Bryant) Hunter was born in Galesburg, Feb. 17, 1910 to Lewis S. Bryant and Edna Illingworth Bryant. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1929. She worked at F.W. Woolworth’s after high school. In 1932 she married Theodore Clive Hunter. They were involved in farming until 1942 when they moved to town. She worked at Harvey Nursing Home for 20 years, retiring in 1975. Lucille was very interested in Genealogy and in her church, Parkside Seventh Day Adventist, and volunteered hundreds of hours painting and varnishing when the church was being built back in the 70’s. She enjoyed walking, and in her later years often walked miles across Galesburg. She is survived by her son, Ted L. Hunter (Nancy) of rural Rio, her daughter, Joyce (Tom) Peterson of Chetek, Wisconsin, 4 grandchildren Jeff (Elizabeth) Hunter, Howard (Vicki) Hunter, Holly (John) Hennenfent, James (Stephanie) Hunter and 15 Great-Grandchildren Nathaniel (K.C.) Hunter, Jonathan (Kirsti) Hunter, Sherry Hunter, Naomi Hunter, Melissa Hunter, Matthew Hunter, Katie Hennenfent, Stefanie (George) Maska, Steven Hunter, Sarah Hunter, Jessica Hunter, Josie Hunter, Mikayla Hunter, Sophie Hunter, Michael Hunter. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers Dale Bryant, Carroll Bryant and one sister Lorraine Yarde, and one son, Edwin Clive Hunter. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Lee Johnson, officiating. Memorials may be made to the Galesburg Rescue Mission and to her church, Parkside S.D.A.
