Lucille Neubaum, 92, of Galesburg, died at 9:37 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Lucille was born on October 19, 1920 in Cedar Point, the daughter of John and Mary (Madlena) Mussatto. She married Clifford Neubaum on December 5, 1942 in Cedar Point. The 70 year marriage brought three children, son, James (and Brenda) of Denver, CO; and daughters, Terry Eastman of Denver, CO and Janet (and James) Kovarik of Cedar Rapids, IA. Lucille is also survived by two sisters, Lenora Bean and Dorothy Patarozzi both of Cedar Point; three grandchildren, Anna Eastman, Molly Kovarik, and Andrew (and Christiane) Kovarik; three great grandchildren, Matthew and DeAnna Heffernen and Nathan Kovarik; and one great great granddaughter, Lyalah Heffernen. Lucille worked as an administrative assistant at Knox College for 25 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. Funeral services will be11:30 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2012 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home. Rev. William T. Miller, IC will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Knox College.
