Margaret A. Sperlin, 68 died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 in St. Mary's Hospital, Galesburg. She was born June 23, 1938, the daughter of Leo and Lois Miles Jordan and received her education at St. Joseph's Academy. She married John Sperlin, Sr., who preceeded her in death. Surviving are two sons, John (and Kelly) Sperlin and DeWayne (and Peg) Sperlin and two daughters, Laurie (and Steve) Robison and Debbie (and James) Sparks, all of Galesburg. A daughter, Carolyn, died in 2002. Also surviving are two brothers, Leo Miles Jordan, Wataga and Dave Jordan, Monticello, Indiana, and two sisters, Pat Mellican, Chicago and Mary Bainbridge, Washington, Illinois. She was employed as a line worker at Maytag in Galesburg for eight years and retired after 23 years as an assembler for J. I. Case in Burlington, Iowa. She took great joy in her four grandchildren and was particularly fond of animals. Services will be Monday, June 18 at 2 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home with visitation Sunday, June 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Prairieland Animal Welfare Center.
