Margaret B. Roling

Margaret B. Roling, 94, of Galesburg, died at 4:58 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at home. Margaret was born October 13, 1917 in Peoria, the daughter of Thomas A. and Sarah (Dellenbaugh) Gavin.  She married Richard Roling on June 30, 1962.  Margaret is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard of Galesburg; a son,  Chris (and Sue) Colvin of Galesburg; 3 daughters, Karen (and Don) Story of Oak Run, Jacqueline (and Bob)Currey of E. Peoria, and Patricia Roling of Galesburg.  She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren; and a brother, William Gavin of Peoria.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Funaro on January 13, 2008; 2brothers, and two sisters. Margaret graduated from Manual High School in Peoria.  She worked for Admiral in Galesburg for 11 years.   She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies of Mary for over 40 years.  She was a past member of Bunker Links Ladies Golf League.  Margaret recorded a hole in one at Maple Lane Golf Course in 1983. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2012 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating.  Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Peoria.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the church.  The family requests memorials be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church or to OSF Hospice.  Funeral arrangements have been  entrusted to Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg.
