Margaret Mae Carrigan

Margaret Mae Carrigan, 78, of 275 E. Carl Sandburg Dr., Galesburg, formerly of Victoria, died at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 07, 2006 at Marigold Health Care Center.  She was born on June 6, 1928 in Decatur, the daughter of Jack and Myrtle Jaggers McManus.  She married Fulton J. Carrigan on January 10, 1948.  He died on January 16, 2003.    Margaret is survived by: her mother Myrtle of Peoria, 3 daughters, Sherry Sheehan, Tucson, AZ, Barbara Young of Grand Rapids, MI, and Dorene Carrigan of Galva, and one sister Cecilia Yuhr of Davenport, IA.  Also surviving Margaret are 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.   Margaret worked most of her adult life, the last 5 years as a dental assistant in Peoria, until her retirement in 1972.  After she retired Margaret assisted her husband, who was a US Deputy Marshal, transporting prisoners.  She was a member of St. Aloysius’ Catholic Church in Wataga.   Cremation rites will be accorded.   No funeral services are planned.
