Margaret "Peggy" J. Cehrs

Margaret J. “Peggy” Cehrs, 85, of Galesburg, died at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg. Peggy was born May 27, 1926 in East Liverpool, OH the daughter of Lester E. and Anna (Smith) Wright.  She married Robert Cehrs in 1965.  He preceded her in death on March 5, 2011. She is survived by 3 sons, Lester Brock of East Liverpool, OH, James Shaw of Galesburg, and Roy Cehrs of Atlanta, GA; 2 daughters, Stephany Grawey of Galesburg and Judy McMahon of Buffalo, NY; and a sister Joan Joseph of Lisbon, OH.  She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.  In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one sister and her parents. Peggy was a member of Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285 Ladies Auxiliary and Prairieland Baptist Church.  She loved to knit and crochet, and enjoyed watching Nascar.  Peggy loved her dog.
