Marie "Pat" Frymire

Marie “Pat” E. Frymire, 86, of Oneida, died at 6:31 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Seminary Manor, Galesburg. Pat was born February 14, 1931 in Houston, TX the daughter of Thomas R. and Marie(Martinez) Cadena.  Pat served in the US Navy where she met her husband Lewis L. Frymire, Jr.  They were married in Norfolk, VA.  He preceded her in death on November 1, 1991.  Pat is survived by one daughter, Gayle S. Hoots of Galesburg; four sisters, Geneva Carillo, Louise Dockens, and Lupe Rodriguez all of Houston, TX and Delores Busboom of Dallas, TX; as well as seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Along with her husband and parents, Pat was preceded in death by one son, Lewis L. Frymire, III; a daughter, Teresa J. Bartlett; three brothers; and five sisters. Pat was an avid volunteer and enjoyed helping others.  She volunteered her time at many places including Galesburg Cottage Hospital, O.A.K.S. Senior Center; and several grocery stores.  She was a wonderful artist and enjoyed working in oil and water coloring paints.  She also excelled in china painting.  Pat also loved to work in her garden and go hiking in the woods. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2017 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the funeral home.  Pastor Gary Bryan and Rev. Deborha Johnson will officiate.  Burial will follow in Silent Home Cemetery, Cameron, IL.  A luncheon and fellowship will follow the burial at the Thomas Legacy Center at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made in Pat’s memory to the family for a fund to be designated at a later date.
