Marion Virgene Meadows

Marion Virgene Daily Meadows, a long time resident of Galesburg and Abingdon, died on March 2, 2008 in Lakewood, Colorado. Graveside services for Mrs. Meadows will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg. Virgene was born in Gilson, Illinois on February 3, 1922 the daughter of Hess and Blanche Daily. She attended High School in the area. On August 11, 1943 she married Raymond E. Meadows, who preceded her in death on August 6, 1982. Mrs. Meadows had 3 children, her oldest, Army Staff Sergeant Roger A. Meadows preceded her in death on January 14, 1981. Mrs. Meadows is survived by her brother William Daily of Knoxville and sister Lorriane Woolsey of Galesburg plus her other two children, Eddrie Clark of Lakewood, Colorado and Gregory Meadows of West Lake Tahoe, California and Roger’s widow, Vera Meadows of Cambridge, Ohio plus 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson. In memory of Mrs. Meadows, donations can be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association. Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg is handling arrangements.
