Mark Douglas Wilke, 42, of Galesburg, died at 2:10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Cottage Hospital. Mark was born on October 24, 1967 in Galesburg, the son of Craig and Vicki Miller Wilke. Surviving Mark is his mother and stepfather, Vicki (and Ed) Stevens of Galesburg; two sons, Charles Funk and Zach Wilke both of Galesburg; a brother, Jason (and Erin) Stevens of McHenry; and two sisters, Stephanie (and John) Washabaugh of Crystal Lake, and Wendy (and Todd) Newburgh of Galesburg. Also surviving is a nephew, Kevin Stevens; his maternal grandmother, Marjorie C. Garrison of Galesburg; and his paternal grandparents, Roger (and Audrey) Wilke of Galesburg; and a special friend Betsy Lydy of Galesburg. He was preceded in death by his father, Craig Wilke, his maternal grandfathers, Jim Garrison and Dick Miller. Mark graduated from Galesburg High School and from semi-truck driving school in Missouri. He was a semi driver for Herr Petroleum in Galesburg for several years. Funeral Mass for Mark will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Watson Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a college fund for Charles and Zach in c/o Wells Fargo Bank, Galesburg.
