Mark E. Brubaker, 61, of Galesburg, died suddenly at 9:41 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 in the Emergency Room at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. Mark was born March 24, 1954 in Galesburg, the son of Robert Eugene and Patricia Anne Flynn Brubaker.  Mark married Mary Ann Blake on April 27, 1973 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Galesburg.  Mark is survived by his wife, Mary of Galesburg; one son, Adam E. (Shauna) Brubaker of Abingdon; two daughters, Amy (Chad) Warren and Angie (Jim) Noonan both of Galesburg; and one sister, Mary Ann (Donald) Gummerson of Galesburg.  He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Kaydin (Cheyenne) Brubaker, Kerstyn Campbell, Traye Sharp, Reas Brubaker, Pryce Brubaker, Emily Warren, Molly Warren, and Ava Jane Noonan; and a great grandson due in July.  He was preceded in death by his parents. Mark graduated from Galesburg High School.  He worked at Butler Mfg. for 20 years, retiring in 1992.  Mark enjoyed weightlifting.  He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.  Mark always enjoyed helping people and continued his caring nature by being a tissue donor. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.  A celebration of life will be held 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Thomas Legacy Center at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a charity to be designated.  Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
