GALESBURG --- Marvin R. White, 73, of Galesburg died at 3:15 p.m. Friday, July 12 at his home. He was born November 2, 1939 in Crown City, OH to Grandville and Edith Fuller White and was married to Karen Neave in Rock Island. Marvin is survived by his wife, Karen White of Galesburg; a son, Rodney (Dottie) White of Galesburg; a daughter, Lisa (Chris) Surber of Galesburg; six grandchildren, Brandon (Robin) Surber, Cody White, Megan (Zach) Burns, Jadin White, Tanner White, and Matthew Surber; three great-grandchildren, Lorenza Burns, Marley Surber, Taylir Trulson; a brother, Paul Fuller of Ohio; two sisters, Elma Booth of Ohio and Betty Craig of Ohio; and his dog, Molly. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald White; a sister, Charlene Fuller; and a great-grandson, Mitchell Surber. Cremation rites have been accorded, and a graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17 at East Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg. Pastor Bob Wakefield will officiate.
