Mary A. Prescott

Mary A. Prescott, 52, of 1824 E. Main St., Galesburg, died at 2:18 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at home.    Mary was born on May 15, 1957 in Orange County, California, the daughter Elmer and Mildred Mullkey Moore.  She married Dewey R. Prescott on March 2, 1985 in Galesburg.  Surviving Mary is her husband, Dewey of Galesburg; her father Elmer Moore of Arizona; 2 sons, Joshua (Sarah) Prescott of Bloomington and Dewey L. Prescott of Galesburg; a step son, Troy F. Prescott of Normal; and 2 step daughters, Christy Tate of Heyworth and Angie Prescott of Bloomington.  Also surviving are 2 brothers, Bill and David Moore both of Texas.  She was preceded in death by a sister Grace Moore and her mother Mildred Moore.   Mary was a nurse working for many years at Marigold Health Care Center, Galesburg Terrace, Good Samaritan Nursing Home, and Seminary Manor.  She was of the Mormon Faith.  Mary enjoyed being around her friends and family and especially enjoyed spending time in her pool.   Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Watson Funeral Home with Bishop Michael Wynkoop officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to Gordon Behrents Senior Center.
