Mary Ann Olson, 79, of Galesburg, IL , died at 6:44 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Emergency Room.  Mary Ann was born May 18, 1936 in Arrowsmith, IL the daughter, of Albert Francis and Elizabeth Angela (Koopman) Huth.  She married Keith O. Olson on January 24, 1959 in Colfax, IL. Mary Ann  is survived by her  devoted husband of 56 years, Keith of Galesburg; three sons, Michael of Galesburg, David (Nan) of Reno, NV and their children, Jessica and Andrew, and Gregory of Brentwood, CA and his children, Megan and Ashley; and one daughter, Linda (Dale) Logsdon of Waseca, MN and their children, Michelle, Matthew, and Nicole.  She is also survived by a brother, Albert (Idy) Huth of Des Moines, WA; and one sister, Alberta Langley of Granite City, IL.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Paul Huth and one sister, Eloise Ambrose. Mary Ann grew up on a family farm near Saybrook, IL.  After graduating high school from Sacred Heart Academy in Springfield, IL, Mary Ann managed the Selective Service “Draft Board” in Bloomington, IL.  She met Keith and after they were married she became a homemaker and raised their four children.  Mary Ann  was a longtime and active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, the Ladies of Mary and the Immaculata Guild.  She volunteered for many years at Galesburg Cottage Hospital Gift Shop.  She was a long time member of the Lake Bracken CC where Keith and her lived for 21 years. Mary Ann  loved to shop, go camping and go on cruises with her dear friend Mary Jo Mc Quillen and their families.  Mary Ann had traveled extensively through the US and visited several  different countries.  She enjoyed many golf trips with her friends to Biloxi, MS.  Mary  Ann was active in a bridge club ,  dinner club and  also enjoyed bowling for many years.  Mary Ann also loved working around her house at Lake Bracken tending to her plants and flowers.  Most of all, Mary Ann was extremely proud of her grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.   Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  Rev. Msgr. Ernest Pizzamiglio will officiate.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the charity  of your choice.
