Mary M. Wilson

Mary Margaret Wilson, 94, of rural Galesburg, died at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg. Mary was born on May 8, 1916 in Monmouth, the daughter of George and Flossie (Berry) Richardson.  She married Harold D. Wilson on July 22, 1939 in Walkon, Iowa.  Mary is survived by a son, Dennis (and Carol) Wilson of Galesburg; a daughter, Patricia (and Larry) Richardson of Moline; and 4 grandchildren, Denise and Brad Richardson, and Jennifer and Mark Wilson.  She is also survived by a nephew, Edward (and Gail) Lindquist of Peoria, AZ.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold on March 13, 1999 and two sisters. Mary graduated from Monmouth High School.  She belonged to Henderson Grove Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.  Mary worked in the cafeteria at Henderson Grove School from 1957 to 1977.  Private family graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the Rock Island National Cemetery where she will be interred alongside her husband.  No visitation is planned.  Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg.
