Mary Theresa Mingare

GALESBURG --- Mary Theresa Mingare, 91, of Galesburg passed away at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Marigold Heath Care Center. She was born November 9, 1921 in Farmington to Rinaldo and Margarette Benedetto Pezzoni and married Frank Mingare on January 5, 1944 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on September 9, 1997. Mary is survived by two daughters, Mary Margaret (Mike) Baranowski of Seattle, WA and Teresa (Mike) Terry of Galesburg, as well as her grandson Frank Terry of Galesburg. Mary was a graduate of Knoxville High School and Browns Business College. She was a secretary for J.G.W. Dopp Hardware Store in Galesburg and also worked for her family business, Sabetti-Mingare Grocery Store. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, for the way she entertained family and friends, and for having many stories to tell. A funeral mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 9 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Monsignor Ernest Pizzamiglio will officiate. A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
