Meryline Katherine Jones

Meryline Katherine Jones, went to be with the Lord Jesus on October 23, 2016. She resided in Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg. She was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, the only daughter of Gottlieb and Katherine (Veller) Goldmann. She has one brother, Allen Goldmann of Twin Falls, Idaho. She married Walter A. Jones in Sheboygan, WI on September 1, 1956. They had 4 children; Michael R. Jones of Martinez, CA, Katherine A. (Jim) Thompson of Licking, MO, Robert J. Jones of Martinez, Ca, and Pamela J. Jones-Fraser of San Diego, CA. She also has 5 grandchildren; Christopher, Michelle, Jennifer, James, and Thea; 8 great grandchildren; Kierra, C.J., Tyler, Kaiya, Mason, James, Izaiah, and Elijah. Meryline was preceded in death by her parents and her husband on October 28, 1980. Meryline was a beautiful loving wife and mother. She was a homemaker, gourmet cook and nutritionist. She loved sewing, camping, and singing. They raised their children in Elk Grove Village, IL. They then moved to Galesburg then to Concord, CA. She came back to Galesburg 10 years after her husband’s death; where she called home. She was a member of the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church and was involved in lots of groups over the years. Cremation and private gathering with her family only will be at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Meryline would like memorials made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
