Michael D. Hager

Michael Daniel Hager, 61, of Galesburg, died at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at home. Mike was born December 15, 1952 in Princeton, WV, the son of Carlile and Lucille VanDyke Hager.  Mike is survived by one daughter, Lana (Dave) Jones of Colorado Springs; four grandchildren, Jordan, Dylan, Taylor and Andrew; and one great grandson, Garitt Steinbach.  He is also survived by three brothers, Ray, Dean (Barb), and Doug Hager; and one sister, Betty Remery.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Roy Hager. Mike had spent the last several years working for BDI in Galesburg.  He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting for mushrooms.  Mike also was a great mechanic and loved to work on anything with a motor, but truly enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles.  He also loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle which he completely rebuilt. Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to the family, in c/o of the funeral home.
