Michael Patrick Theobald

Michael Patrick Theobald, 56, of Galesburg, died at 3:50 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Mike was born April 22, 1961 in Galesburg, the son of Kenneth Edward and Agnes Louise (Herrin) Theobald.  He is survived by his sister, Ann (Fred) Thomas of Galesburg; special parents, Stan and Mary Jane Miller and their sons, Steven and Scott (Kristina Curtis) Miller of Galesburg and a special niece, Melodie Miller; three aunts, Nancy Kay Herrin, Barbara A. Stoneking, and Sandra Humphries all of Galesburg; one uncle, Gerald R. Scott of E. Galesburg; along with nieces, Carrie Cooper of Galesburg and Sylvia Grace Tanzillo of Houston, TX; one nephew Nicholas Theobald of Galesburg; and a sister in law, Debbie Theobald of Galesburg.  Along with his parents, Mike was preceded in death by one brother, Mark and one nephew, Joseph Michael Tanzillo. Mike graduated from Galesburg High School and studied graphic design at Carl Sandburg College.  He worked as a mechanic for Glenn’s Radiator in Galesburg.  He was a member of Stone Hayes Independent Living and received a certificate of Legislation from Stone Hayes.  He was a member of Northwood’s Church. Mike was also a long time member of a recovering 12 step program. Cremation rites will be accorded.  No services are planned.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Memorials may be directed to his sister, Ann Thomas.
