Michael R. Henry

Michael Robert Henry, 70, of Woodhull, Illinois died peacefully at home on March 24, 2022 at 2:30 a.m. Mike was born February 26, 1952 in LaHarpe, Illinois the son of Robert L. and Phyllis J. (Green) Henry. He married Katherine Ann Revels on July 12, 1969 in Viola, Illinois. She survives of Woodhull, Illinois. Mike is also survived by his two sons, Michael Henry of Henderson, Illinois and Austin Henry of Woodhull, Illinois; one daughter, Sandy Bardwell of Olympia, Washington; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Lola. Mike is also survived by his mother, Phyllis Henry Strout of Alpha, Illinois; one brother, Duane (Tonya) Henry of Opheim, Illinois; and two sisters, Sue Peterson of Alpha, Illinois and Kathy (Joe) Cypert of St. Cloud, Florida. In his younger years Mike worked as a milk truck driver. He went on to work many years as a truck driver for Alpha FS and later Borkgrens Trucking prior to retiring in 2014. In his free time Mike enjoyed spending time with family, camping and fishing as well as working in his shop. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family burial of cremated remains will be at Rapid City Cemetery, Rapids City, Illinois. A celebration of Mike’s life will be Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Woodhull Community Center, Woodhull, Illinois from 1 to 4 p.m. Memorials may be made in Mike’s memory to the family.
