Michele A. Sprague

Michele Ann Sprague (58), born on May 23, 1966 in Galesburg, Illinois, passed away at home on January, 27, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Michele was proceeded in death by her father Ron Sprague (2015). She is survived by her mother and best friend, Rita Sprague whom Michele referred to as her “Sunshine”, her brother Mark Sprague of Cypress, Texas and her sister Lori Link (Jeff) of Abingdon, Illinois, as well four nieces and nephews that she adored, Cassie Schleich (Tyler), Cory Link (Maisey), Taylor Crowell (Chad) and Davis Sprague (Alexis). Also surviving is her very special aunt Shirley Knox of Galesburg, Illinois. Michele spent countless summers visiting the Illinois state fair with Shirley and enjoying many concerts together.

Michele was born and raised in Galesburg. She attended Warren Achievement Center in Monmouth in her early years. She later attended school in Galesburg and participated in KCCDD/Thrive programs from the time she was 21 to present.

Michele did not know a stranger. She gave her hugs freely, usually accompanied by a hearty pat on the back. There wasn’t a place she went that someone didn’t shout out her name to say hello. Michele will be forever remembered and had the best possible life with the most loving parents. Michele taught us the true meaning of love and made her family stronger in their faith.

Visitation will be 5:30pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and funeral services at 10:30am Friday, Jan 31, 2025 at the funeral home. Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the Legacy Center at Watson Thomas following the burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg.
