Mitchell H. Bahr

View Mitchell's Tribute Video Mitchell Holden Bahr, 29, of Bushnell, died at 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 5 2016 at home. Mitch was born May 22, 1986 in Peoria, the son of Robert R. and Carla E. Staffy Bahr.  Mitch is survived by his mother, Carla of Smithfield; his brother, Weston of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Teri (Todd) Peterson of Galesburg; his aunts, Pam Zeiden of Los Angeles, CA and Eileen Staffy of Bushnell; and one nephew, Christian Peterson.  He was preceded in death by his Dad, Bob on July 3, 2015.  Mitch received his associate’s degree from Spoon River College and his welding certificate from Carl Sandburg College in the spring of 2015.  He was currently working as a purchasing agent for Derby Industries in Galesburg.  Mitch loved music.  He was an excellent drummer and played in garage bands.  He also loved skateboarding and was a movie and television aficionado.  Mitch lived in San Diego for 3 years and always dreamed of moving back.  He always tried to be positive with people and enjoyed performing random acts of kindness. Visitation will be 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory.  Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Tim Harding officiating.  Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
