Nadine A. Weigand

Nadine A. Weigand, 67, of 975 Johnston Ave., Galesburg, died at 2:45 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2007 at home. Nadine was born on May 20, 1940 in Soperville, the daughter of Clarence and Ruth Nelson Carlson. She married Pat Weigand on April 4, 1964 in Galesburg. Surviving Nadine are, her husband, Pat of Galesburg; 3 sons, Marty (Kathy) of Tucson, AZ, Shawn (Tonya) of Knoxville, and Andy (Kristen) of Galesburg; a daughter, Amy (Chris) Rammage of Wataga; 2 brothers, Larry Carlson of Wataga and Norman Carlson of Oneida; and 9 grandchildren. A grandson Tru preceded her in death. Nadine graduated from ROVA High School in 1958. She was the secretary to the athletic director at Galesburg High School for 22 years, retiring in 2000. She was a long time member of the Galesburg Boosters. She was a member of Corpus Christi and St. Aloysius Churches. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Watson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Costa hot lunch program or to the American Cancer Society.
